Dr. Salim Mistrih wasn’t born in Missouri, but after living here for over a decade, he feels like a Missourian.
“I grew up in Aleppo, Syria. My mom was a French professor and teacher at the Catholic school I attended from ages 5-17.
Missourians, and especially the people in Rolla, share the same values my family instilled in me. Hard work, decency, common courtesy, and pride in their community.”

Dr. Mistrih studied biology as a Pierre Laclede Honors Scholar at the University of Missouri, St Louis, then earned his DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) at Case Western School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland. After dental school, he returned to his adopted home state of Missouri to practice clinical dentistry.
Dr. Mistrih’s background reads like a good novel. There’s a lot of dentistry, but also some early chapters on body building and beat boxing (vocal percussion that mimics drums).
Before moving to the US as a teenager, Dr. Mistrih had 26,000+ subscribers to his YouTube channel, and he was widely recognized as a pioneer of beat boxing in the Middle East.

About Dr. Jeremy Kiersz and Rolla Family Dentistry
For 7 years in a row, Rolla Family Dentistry has been recognized as the best dental office in Phelps County, Missouri.
Dr. Jeremy Kiersz has led the Rolla Family Dentistry team since 2014, and he previously owned and operated St. Robert Family Dental Center.
He went to college at Creighton University (Omaha, NE) and stayed at Creighton for dental school, graduating in 1985.
Dr. Kiersz and his wife, Rebekah, have five children and twelve grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family and spending time in the outdoors.
