A letter from Dr. Russ Boyter
To the patients of Stones River Dental, I’m putting you in good hands for years to come.
Patients and Friends,
When I opened Stones River Dental 33 years ago, I wanted to build a practice where my patients and team would become my friends. Where I could work alongside people I respected.
I’m so proud of what Stones River is today. It’s been my honor and privilege to care for you.
I’ve never taken your trust for granted. It’s truly been my honor, and I want to thank you for that trust. This trust is why it was so important for me to find the right person to carry it on.
Later this year, I’m hanging up my handpieces to spend more time with my wife, Shannon, and our grandchildren. We’re welcoming another dentist to lead Stones River for the next 30+ years.
It wasn’t easy to find my successor. This practice is my life’s work, and I wanted to hand-select the right person. Someone with exceptional clinical skills (better than mine!), a good heart, good values, and a warm and welcoming personality.
It wasn’t easy, but I found all of that and more in Dr. Abby Slyman, DDS.
Dr. Abby is originally from Huntsville, AL. She studied mathematics and biology at Southern Methodist University. After that, she stayed in Dallas and graduated with honors from the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry.
Today, Dr. Abby lives in Franklin, TN with her husband (Zane) and golden retriever (Chessie). Since 2019, she’s practiced at Tiny Town Dental in Clarksville. Her patients and team were devastated to hear she decided to leave that practice to join Stones River.
Patients love Dr. Abby. When you meet her, you’ll understand why.
I’ll continue to visit Stones River Dental… at least every 6 months, because Shannon and I will be Dr. Abby’s patients!
And you’ll still see familiar faces.
The rest of our team isn’t going anywhere.
After 33 years of earning the trust of our patients and community, I’m asking you to trust me again. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Abby. You’re going to love her.
