When I opened Brentwood Dental Center 30 years ago, I wanted to build a practice where my patients and team would become my friends. Where I could work alongside people I respected. Helping people I love.
And I did it.
I’m so proud of what Brentwood Dental Center is today.
If you’re reading this, you’ve been a part of that. Thank you for trusting me to be your dentist. I don’t take that responsibility lightly.
It’s been an honor.
I’m writing to share news that I’m hanging up my handpieces to spend more time with Elaine (my wife). We’re welcoming another dentist to lead Brentwood Dental Center for the next 30 years.
It wasn’t easy to find my successor. This practice is my life’s work, and I wanted to hand-select the right person. Someone with exceptional clinical skills (better than mine!), a good heart, and a warm and welcoming personality. And a sense of humor.
It wasn’t easy, but I found all of that and more in Dr. Shelby Nelson.
Not only will you like Shelby Nelson as a person, but she’s an excellent dentist who provides services like veneers, whitening, Botox, Invisalign, root canals, tooth extractions, and even same day crowns.
Dr. Nelson is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. She studied biology at Wofford College and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Ever since she was a kid, Shelby knew she wanted to be a dentist… even though her family is in the sugar business!
For the last 3 years, Dr. Nelson has led Mid TN Dentistry in Franklin. Her patients were devastated to hear she decided to leave that practice to join Brentwood Dental Center, but their loss is our gain.
Patients love Dr. Nelson. When you meet her, you’ll understand why.
I’ll continue to stop by Brentwood Dental Center to say hello. And you’ll still see other familiar faces.
